This instrument features a solidly designed hexagonal handle which gives adequate area for gripping. The gouge is designed to be used in the close spaces of the vertebral canal and other areas encountered in spinal surgery to make holes or to scrape away at bone. It is available in four different styles: straight, medium curve, strong curve and reverse curve making it well suited for a vast array of surgical scenarios and satisfy any surgeon preference.

This osteotome features a smooth barrel shaped handle that is easy to grip. Additionally it features a wide, flat handle end that can be struck with a hammer or mallet to drive the chisel shaped end with increased force. This instrument can be used to cut, scrape or shave bone to increase access to the surgical field or simply for reshaping. Additionally it can also be used as a chisel with increased force applied to it to split bone or to scoop out segments to increase access to the center. A unique feature of this particular gouge is the swan shaped curvature that allows it to access difficult to reach areas without obscuring the surgical field and keeping the handle out the plane of surgery.
