A fully-rotatable and bayoneted instrument shaft is removable with the click of a single thumb release lever. The rotating shaft allows for a range of cutting angles, and the removable shaft is ideal for thorough decontamination and sterilization of the instrument. The bayonet shape also allows for better visualization, whereas the ceramic cut black surface treatment adds durability. These shafts feature a larger bite opening typical of Spurling-Kerrison styles. Please note this is for the shaft only. Handles are sold separately.

Ceramic Cut rongeurs feature a black ceramic surface treatment which provides unparalleled hardness and durability. The black ceramic coating is designed to reduce the friction between metal surfaces, providing surgeons with a smooth, steady gliding action and a longer-lasting rongeur. The dark finish also reduces glare under operating room lights. The ronguer features thin footplates and small handles that allow it to be used in delicate areas such as near the spinal cord. In laminectomies the vertebral arch is removed to give additional access to the spinal cord or to relieve pressure on particular segments. It is available in 7", 8" and 9" and in a variety of a variety of bite widths making it highly useful in a vast array of surgical scenarios. It is also available with a regular footplate upon special request.
